During Lent, we invite people of all ages to participate in a Cross-generational learning experience. The theme varies from year to year. - Biblical history – learning the context of the Bible and how it informs the way we read and interpret scripture.
- Biblical theology – what scripture tells us about God, us, and the world.
- Exploring questions about the Bible – thinking about what questions have come up in what we read the past week.

Faith5 and Cross-Generational Programs
Faith5 is a method developed to help people “take faith home.” It follows five easy steps to incorporate simple faith practices into your everyday life with your family and/or friends. The whole method can be done in about 5-10 minutes:
- Share – share one high point and one low point for a week.
- Read – read a short Bible passage (you can use a Bible app for a “verse of the day” if you don’t wish to pick your own or if there is no verse specified by a program you are attending).
- Talk – share briefly how this Bible verse relates to your highs/lows.
- Pray – take a moment to pray for each other, this can be as simple as praying for someone’s highs and lows.
- Bless – Ask if it is ok to make the sign of the cross on one another’s forehead. Then offer a simple blessing. For example, “(Name), you are loved by God.”
