GLY - Youth Group

GLY (Grace Lutheran Youth) Group meets every Sunday through the school year from 5:00 - 6:30p.m.  

All youth from grades 8th -12th grade are welcome. The group is a combination of Zion, Shepherd of the Cross and Grace students.  Please join the group and explore new friendships, a closer relationship with Christ, and of course, to have fun!  The group is led by Traci Lippelgoes and Pastor Aleese .

In addition to materials chosen by Traci and Pastor Aleese, the youth also suggest subject matters that are covered in addition to discussing current events and how they affect them.

2022 ELCA Youth Gathering 

Nine of our youth will be attending the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston Texas next summer from June 27th to July 1st. The Gathering consists of five program areas – Community Life, Interactive Learning, Mass Gathering, Service Learning and Synod Day. Congregational groups will be assigned a to rotation schedule to experience Interactive Learning, Synod Day and Service Learning. All participants gather nightly for Mass Gathering and on Sunday morning for closing worship. Community Life activities are available in several locations throughout the day.  Our youth will be conducting fundraisers to help them pay to attend and travel to and from the event.  Please support them in any way you can, as this event can be live changing for all involved.  More details can be found at the event site: http://elca.org/YouthGathering
