Even though we hear the promises of God in worship and from one another and read about them in the Bible, often times the situations of our lives leave us wondering really “is the Lord with us or not?” This Lent you are invited to join us as we wrestle with the tension between God’s promises
and common realities of our lives and our world.

​Daily Devotional Pattern

Throughout these 40 days, as we struggle with this question, you are invited to take five minutes each day to dwell on God’s promises in response to the situations we are looking at each week. If you choose to do this, first read the passage for the appointed week. Consider how the theme of the week relates to someone or some situation you don’t know personally, someone you do know, and then yourself.  Then pray about each one.
